In the last months I attended the Design Thinking Class, held by professor Jacqueline Fendt.
Here are some reviews.
What is Design Thinking?
In a sentence I can say that Design Thinking is about finding creative and original solution to wicked problems, using an approach typical of design. For instance, we collected a lot of users interview, we tried to have a look at users while facing the problems and all the process was characterized by visualization techniques.
Tonight, we’ll build a prototype and test our solution, like every designer do. Also remembering that DONE IS BETTER THAN PERFECT.
Which problem we tried to solve?
Our goal was to find an overall theme for the Paris candidature at EXPO2025, each student raised a “problem”, we clustered the problems and formed the groups.
How we do it?
We used a framework and a lot of creativity, ideas exchange. We had fun, and we had an exam.
And now?
Tonight we’ll have the Design Thinking Night, we’ll stay all the night in the school (YES, IT’S A 20-HOUR CLASS) developing our ideas and prototyping a solution. I still don’t know exactly what we’ll do and what we’ll obtain but for sure tomorrow morning we have to present our work for the Design Thinking Vernissage.
I would like to write down some twitter updates, look at #dtn2025 for news.
