About Me

I was born in the north east of Italy in 1990, I’m part of Generation Y, I have an email address since the age of 10 and this can partly explain why I’m so passionate about technology.

But I think that this passion is more related to another characteristic of mine: curiosity. During high school I used to read, research and experiment on a lot of different fields, for example:

  • Astronomy: going to the Moon was my dream…then i discovered that you cannot became an astronaut if you have myopia 🙁
  • Chemistry/Physic: What about developing a Volta’s Pistol or putting Menthos in Coke? Not dangerous but fun
  • Biology: it’s amazing how much we know about our body and at the same time how much still need to be discovered
  • Science application (especially in Business): like windows that doesn’t need to be clean, producing electricity walking on the street and so on
  • Informatics: it was cool developing a LEGO Mindstorm NXT Robot or my first program to calculate zeros of ax^2+bx+c

Ok, you get the idea. I read literally hundreds of books about a lot of stuff in which I was interested.

But when I think about my passion for technology I realize that I’ve never read a lot of books about it. I stimulate my curiosity with a learning by doing approach and this helped me a lot to generate a common ground of knowledge that now I can use to understand software and technologies that I’ve never faced before in a short period of time.

When I needed to decide which university take I thought about doing an computer science degree, to better learn how to program (I learned the basics of programming during High School and I think that the logic behind a program should be teach to every student). But I realized that it wasn’t the best solution for me for at least two reasons:

  1. Limitation in the range of application of my broad curiosity and knowledge
  2. Limitation in the range of work position

I don’t really like to limit myself so I decide to focus on Business Administration. It wasn’t an easy decision but after some years I think was the right decision for me in that moment.

During University I found a job and after a while I became responsible of Information System for a mid-sized Professional Accountant Firm. I managed, with a Microsoft Partner, mainly the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 and Microsoft SharePoint 2010. We developed this and other tools to became more efficient in knowledge and information sharing; in the growing process we changed the server infrastructure from physical to virtual, with a huge gain in security and reliability.

After 3 years in Venice University I decided to embrace the challenge of having an international studying experience, so I apply for a Double Degree with ESCP EUROPE and I was admitted. Hurray!

I spent one academic year in Paris studying at ESCP EUROPE in one of the best Master in Management in the world. I’m really happy about it and proud of myself.

Currently I am in the south of France, working for an IT multinational company, doing a lot of interesting stuff that have effect on thousands of people.

I’m particularly interested in Strategy, Organization, Business Development. Especially in fields technology-related and in new business trends. I’m fascinated by the start-up world.
